Twitter hosts conversations that reflect some of the most interesting topics of the moment. These trends are featured next to a user’s Twitter timeline. Because of this placement, a trend gets massive exposure.
2 “Promotes accounts”
Cost Per Follower runs between $2.50 and $4
Promoted Account is featured in search results and within the "Who To Follow" -section.
3 “Promoted tweets in timelines / in search”
Cost Per Engagement rates from $0.75 to $2.50, not bad compared to CPC prices even for small business
Engagement = (Clicks + Favorites + Retweets + @Replies) / Impressions
Promoted Tweets can be targeted to search results or to user timelines. Twitter’s geographic targeting increases the relevance of your message based on location.
Twitter advertisers must commit to three months at a minimum spend of $15,000. Requires an established Twitter presence. Previous experience running SEM, Adwords, or Facebook campaigns in also required.
Targeting based on keywords, interest, and country (not Finland so far)
